Specializes in Heidelberg, Germany with Karl Löwith and Hans-Georg Gadamer, whose ideas introduced in Italy. In 1964, he became professor of Aesthetics at the University of Turin, and from 1982 to theoretical philosophy. Taught, provided a visiting professor at various universities in the United States.
